I agree with you conceptually, and think that as the tools get better over the next two cycles, we are going to have a harder time being able to intuit what is real and what is fake. Still, the content I’m seeing coming out of the models is bland and uninspiring. I doubt they will ever get to the level of creativity that humans produce but lower down ballot you’ll see a lot MORE content delivered, and much of it will be drafted with AI.
The advancements of AI can only exponentially increase our distrust of its users (why is this necessary?) AND “truth” itself.

What is particularly disturbing is that no one cares — to MAGA, to Republicans, it’s just a show … and a gaudy bandwagon to hop on.
