, Miami Herald investigative reporter Julie K. Brown and their team traveled the country searching for, and sometimes directly talking with, the Epstein staffers who saw what was happening firsthand for their podcast “Broken: Jeffrey Epstein”So instead of falling down the rabbit hole of political horse-racing and influencer/cable news fueled speculation about impacts on Trump, et al, I wanted to hear the story of the survivors. Annie Farmer, Courtney Wild, Virginia Roberts Giuffre and more. Tara has talking with them, telling their stories, verifying and checking what really happened, for years now.
Friends, an important caveat/disclaimer before you start reading, watching, listening. We talk in detail at times about the alleged sexual abuse and child sex trafficking at the heart of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. This is not conspiracy theories or “comedy”, it is chilling and if you are not familiar with it, you may want to gird yourself. And please make sure your kids aren’t around.
Show Notes
We wanted to corroborate the stories of the victims because so often they are dismissed as “child prostitutes”.
What Epstein housekeeper Juan Alessi witnessed.
“You couldn’t walk in this house and not think it was weird to see a man in his 50s, teenage girls, pictures of naked girls everywhere. It smelled of depraved behavior. … They were almost grooming the people around them to feel, this is normal.”
“A part of this was Ghilaine’s role of normalizing this … she validates him (Epstein)”
Why would the government take the word of perjured convict Ghislaine Maxwell over that of the survivors?
Epstein survivor Annie Farmer has said, of her repeated testimony, “‘You have made me go through this, over and over and over again’”
“The fact that these girls are being used as pawns, like they’ve always been used as pawns, is what we need to stay focused on”
Tara traveling the country doing door-knocks to confront the people who witnessed what happened at Epstein’s properties
Celebrity Chef Adam Perry Lang from Epstein Ranch to Michelin-starred chef, “Virginia (Roberts Giuffre) thought, ‘If I can just get Adam Perry Lang to testify for me, this would be very helpful.’”
What survivors want so often is for someone to say they know the abuse happened and they are sorry.
“It is so complex, the impact it has on the survivors, it degrades them so much emotionally for the rest of their lives to believe they are not worthy”
“Courtney Wild was 12-years-old with braces when she showed up at Jeffrey Epstein’s door”
And more.

Very common knowlege that abusers often try to change the narrative by claiming the victim is either a liar or crazy. We must not believe these monsters! By telling a victim that it “never happened” is like telling a soldier coming home from a war that they were never there, or never fought. Let’s get smart about this.
So appreciate your work Tara!!!💕 🫂
