Kirk Suspect Detained
Law enforcement caught and have booked Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from southwest Utah, believed to be the shooter of Charlie Kirk. During a new conference Friday morning, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, FBI Director Kash Patel and Utah law enforcement provided details from their ongoing investigation, including the messages found on bullet casings.
The messages on the bullet casings retrieved carried a number of messages, including the lyrics to a song sung by Italians honoring those who fought the Nazi occupation in World War II.
“Oh bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao.”
“If you read this, you are gay. LMAO.”
One casing with arrows pointing up, right, down, down. And more.
Cox indicated one message is clearly against fascism, but did not speculate on what the other messages meant.
‘Is this the end of a dark chapter, or the beginning of a darker chapter’
Cox, a veteran Republican governor, delivered an impassioned oratory Friday imploring Americans to unplug from the “cancer” of social media and engage with others in person, lest increased political violence rip apart the American experiment.
I’ll be playing some of this on the show today, I urge you to listen to his comments here, courtesy of C-SPAN.
“This is our moment, do we escalate, or do we find an offramp? It’s a choice, and every one of us gets to make that choice,” Cox said.
Which shooting?
A school shooting? Which school? A college?
That was my initial reaction while discussing the fallout from this with an old source yesterday. Kirk’s murder dominates the news, but school shootings continued unabated this week, included one in Colorado in which the teenaged assailant had been “radicalized online.”
The day after Kirk’s shooting was met with multiple bomb threats sent to Democratic leaders across the nation (which reminded me of the Russian bomb threats sent to polling stations in 2024.)

All of this can't be engraved on a 30.06 casing. This is so blatantly false, that it shouldn't even be reported.
It takes an expensive tool to translate normal print to micro print, it isn't something you have in your house. And it is just too convenient isn't it. That the shooter chambered a round after firing his shot and just left the rifle and casings to be found.
And a 150 - 200 yard shot, to the neck, even if it was the head that was the target, is a little too much, even for a deer hunter, much less a 22 year old kid.
This doesn't pass the smell test, but it does provide Trump with a Reichstag moment,
