A campaign is a marathon

WASHINGTON _ Every startup is an ongoing experiment in what works and what doesn’t (and veteran readers of 24sight News know that this from-the-ground startup has grown and evolved quite a bit since I launched it after the demise of The Messenger in January.)

I’ll start by asking what you would like to see more of — or less of. Email me your thoughts — tom@24sight.news — or just reply to any 24sight News dispatch in your inbox.

I am indeed leaning in on the Pennsylvania coverage through the end of the race. It’s a fascinating microcosm of America (with apologies to my homestate of Maryland, often deemed The Microcosm of America.) It’s also easy for me make daytrips up there from suburban D.C., to get the real flavor of this race.

Some programming updates:

Since it’s just me doing this, I’m going to change the production schedule so it’s a bit more manageable here:

• I’m moving from five to three 24 Seven newsletters a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) — these are free to all.

• I’m getting back to more original reported stories, these will be for paying subscribers only — they take time to report properly and your support keeps me going. If you’re a free subscriber and interested in a story that’s behind the paywall, you can always try a free trial link here:

• I’m pausing the 24sight Pod for a bit — it takes a fair amount of time to produce on my end and I don’t see as many folks engaging with it as I do the regular newsletters and reported stories. …

• BUT … keep an eye out for a new podcast or two in the coming weeks (not ready to divulge all the details just yet!)

And I’m always curious to hear what you think. What should be getting more attention? Less? How’s the format? Recommendations for unclogging my arteries after a steady diet of Milwaukee, Chicago and PA haute cuisine?
