Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith said he’s sticking by lead pastor Nathan Peternel and Life Church, which is deeply intertwined with Beckwith's state office
<<Peternel and his staff, including his family, have been aggressively trying to stop families from leaving the church. >>
Interestingly, when my family and I stopped attending Life Church a few years ago, no one, member, staff, or Nathan seemed to notice or care. No one called to check-in on us, or seek to learn why we had left. We clearly didn’t matter. Now Life Church is responding the same way the Moonies used to do when people tried to flee their cult. I don’t say this with a heavy heart, as it only served to affirm we had made the right decision to leave LC, but I do find it curious how they’re now trying to reach out to and retain those leaving.
Interesting. I bet bc they were flying high back then on tithing et al, and now floundering. The cultish nature of this is something I’ve heard repeatedly
